11 Spectacular Not-To-Be-Missed Family Friendly Activities This November!

This is the monthly post that is most awaited by my readers and one that I absolutely LOVE putting together for you!

Today's post is packed to the brim with super-cool November activities which you can do around London with your families!

Given that we are (almost) officially stepping into the holiday season...there are tons of stuffs happening around London and local neighbourhoods.

The best advice I have for this month is to keep your FOMO aside (I have a BIG case of that! Guilty as charged!!😬) and pick a few activities that best suit your family and schedules!

I'd LOVE to see your images if you end up going to any of these.

Have fun browsing through the list and enjoying the experiences as well!!😀

Because I don't want the non-Christmasy ones to get lost ..... there are two sections to today's list - (Non-Christmas Events/Activities & Christmas Activities)

Non-Christmasy Events/Activities

1. November HAS to start with Bonfire Night Fireworks. Almost every neighbourhood will have its own celebration. Check out your local commons or schools for their specific dates. Some of the biggest and best names around London are -

Wimbledon Park Fireworks

Alexandra Palace Fireworks

Battersea Park Fireworks

2.  As the summer sun gives way to autumnal mists and wintery frosts, the capital's trees turn red, gold and orange, making for gorgeous seasonal walks and excellent photo opportunities, no filter required. Here are some of the top picks of the best London spots to get a dose of autumn beauty.

Autumn At Richmond Park (Steaming morning mists give way to antlered stags, against a backdrop of golden leaves - Whats not to love? :))

Autumn in Royal Parks - Be it St.James Park, Regent's Park or Greenwich Park, you can't go wrong with any of the majestic Royal Parks!

Autumn Leaves on Chelsea Embankment - With its ornate street lights and stunning river views, Chelsea Embankment is photogenic any time of year. In autumn, it only ramps it up a notch!

Autumn Leaves at Kynance Mews - Is there any time of year when this idyllic Kensington mews looks anything less than dreamy?

Autumn At Kew Gardens - If it's leaves you're after, London's huge botanical garden has the motherlode. Don't miss the Treetop Walkway which offers stunning views of colourful autumn leaves from up high

3.  Lord Mayor's Show - For pomp, pageantry and a fun procession, line up on 12 November for the Lord Mayor’s Show, the annual event which marks the outgoing Lord Mayor being replaced by the new Lord Mayor. The spectacle dates back to the early 13th century and features a grand ceremonial carriage as well as floats and marching bands travelling through the City of London.

4. Any young budding scientists in the house? Injecting Hope exhibition - Remember those days when we were all locked down at home? The days of lockdowns and waiting for a vaccine feel a long time ago but the new exhibition at the Science Museum follows the worldwide journey to develop vaccines during the pandemic. The exhibition features artworks, interactive exhibits and personal objects.
